"In the Flow of 6th"
I didn’t stop because something extraordinary happened.
I stopped because everything was moving.
6th Avenue was full — people crossing, people passing, each one carrying something unseen.
There was a quiet urgency in the air, the kind that doesn’t ask questions, it just keeps going.
I stood there for a moment and let it all happen around me.
The buildings felt taller than usual, almost closing in, yet the street opened forward like a path with no end.
The pavement held traces of the city — footsteps, reflections, fragments of color — all blending into something I couldn’t quite define.
No one noticed anyone. And yet, somehow, everyone belonged.
That’s when it stayed with me — not a single face, not a single direction… but the rhythm. The way the city breathes through its people.
I didn’t want to paint the avenue.
I wanted to paint that feeling — of being one small part in something constantly unfolding… and still, somehow, exactly where you are meant to be.
